About

Where Precision Meets Art
Chitramrit Studios (formerly Advaita Studios Pvt. Ltd.) is a specialized digital visualization agency dedicated to making the complex instantly understandable. Operating at the rare intersection of heavy industrial engineering and high-end visual storytelling, we deliver “simply useful visuals” that drive B2B sales, technical training, and creative campaigns.
We are not a standard animation house. We are a technical partner equipped to handle massive industrial datasets and intricate creative pipelines. By combining industry-leading 3D software with custom procedural scripting, data-driven kinematic simulations, and CAD-to-cinema workflows, we ensure that every mechanical movement is mathematically accurate and every frame is visually stunning.
Whether we are visualizing the multi-axis kinematics of a robotic work cell or directing a character-driven narrative film, our multidisciplinary pipeline is built to execute your vision flawlessly, from raw concept to final cinematic render.
A Legacy of Visual Engineering
What is known today as Chitramrit Studios is built on a foundation of over two decades of industry excellence.
The studio’s roots trace back to 2006 with the founding of Advaita Design Studio. Built on relentless dedication and a commitment to highly accurate industrial visualization, the studio quickly formed powerful B2B partnerships.
The exceptional trust earned from early clients—most notably Penta Designers and Engineers—led to a unique collaboration, culminating in the formation of Advaita Studios Pvt. Ltd. in 2013
Today, operating under the banner of Chitramrit Studios (est. 2024), our portfolio boasts over 200 complex visualization projects, more than 1,200 minutes of high-fidelity technical animation, and successful partnerships with over 50 highly satisfied industrial and creative clients.
About the founder

Mahesh Deshpande
Founder, Chitramrit Studios
Mahesh, the founder of Chitramrit Studios, brings over a quarter-century of design expertise to every project. He has been at the forefront of the digital visualization industry in India since its early days, establishing himself as a thought leader long before 3D animation tools became widely used for engineering visualisations.
Mahesh’s journey in the design industry began in 1999. Unlike many digital artists, his foundation is rooted in the physical world. Starting with physical prototype model-making, on-paper architectural drafting, and interior design, he developed an intrinsic understanding of spatial mechanics and structural engineering long before bringing them into the 3D space.
The earliest author about 3dCG: Recognising the future of the industry early on, Mahesh became a leading advocate for digital visualization in India.
He began authoring articles on 3D animation for major publications, including a foundational piece in the Sakal Marathi newspaper in November 2003 and again in November 2004.
These articles made him one of the earliest—if not the earliest—authors to write about 3d animation and computer graphics in any newspapers including english throughout India.

An Educator at Heart: Beyond production, Mahesh has dedicated years to training the next generation of engineers and 3d graphic artists. From serving as a faculty member for the Architectural Draughtsman trade at the Prin. N. G. Naralkar Institute to conducting professional and corporate training in CAD, 3D modeling, and rigging, animation tools, his ability to break down complex concepts into teachable moments, is the exact skill he now uses to build explanatory technical animations for corporate clients.

While at studio he handles rigorous technical and mechanical side, the creative force behind it is deeply philosophical. Outside of the studio, Mahesh is an avid sketcher, poet, and a dedicated student of the life and works of Swami Vivekananda and Sri Ramakrishna.
The Chitramrit Project: While industrial mechanics, animation and simulation form the core of Chitramrit Studios’ commercial B2B work, the true scale of Mahesh’s technical bandwidth is best demonstrated through his life’s passion: The Chitramrit Project and the ChronoMapia of Swami Vivekananda.
Inspired by Swami Vivekananda’s call for chronologically accurate Indian history, Mahesh initiated a massive digital undertaking in 2018. The goal: to historically, academically, and visually reconstruct the events of the Holy Trio (Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother Sharada Devi, and Swami Vivekananda).
The ChronoMapia Astronomy Project: Mahesh’s obsession with precision extends far beyond the industrial visualisation and into the mechanics of the universe itself.

As a enthusiast of Indian Itihas (history), Khagol-shastra (astronomy), and other Indic topics, and highly inspired by Researcher Nilesh Oak,
Mahesh is the creator and author of ChronoMapia (Astronomy 101)—an extensive educational platform featuring bilingual articles, poetic renditions (Jyotishashtake), and highly accurate 3D videos.

The project’s goal is to teach fundamental astronomical concepts—such as the Earth’s axial tilt, orbital mechanics, the precession of equinoxes, and celestial kinematics—so that the public can scientifically verify the exact planetary dates of ancient historical events like the Mahabharat.
This is not simply digital art; it is hard science. To produce the videos and articles for ChronoMapia, Mahesh is currently developing and programming custom 3D planetary models, applying classic orbital elements, and calculating celestial alignments.

The Next Chapter: Custom Interactive Software
Mahesh is currently expanding Chitramrit Studios’ technical arsenal by engineering proprietary, real-time interactive applications. Utilizing Blender, Unity Engine, C# programming, he is actively developing a suite of standalone software tools designed to let clients not just watch their engineering, but physically interact with it on screen.

That pioneering spirit is the driving force behind Chitramrit Studios today. Mahesh leads a multidisciplinary practice that speaks two distinct languages with equal fluency: the precise, mathematical exactness required by the manufacturing sector, and the emotive, narrative flow demanded by creative agencies. Based in Pune’s industrial hub, he combines this deep technical pedigree with a hands-on approach, turning complex concepts into ‘simply useful visuals.’
